Expanded tick chart support on TradingView

May 26

Last year, we launched tick charts in beta, with the data coverage limited to a selection of the most popular exchanges. Since then, we’ve been working hard to expand the coverage, and today, we’re glad to announce that tick data is available for nearly all exchanges and symbols on TradingView — helping you analyze market dynamics more precisely and make better-informed trading decisions.

Tick charts are supported for most instruments, with a few exceptions:

TradingView connects to hundreds of data feeds, and you can find the most up-to-date list of supported markets on our market data page. Nearly all of these markets and assets now support tick-based charts, aside from the exceptions listed above. How awesome is that?

Tick charts allow you to build bars based on a defined number of transactions rather than fixed time intervals. Each bar represents a set number of successive ticks, regardless of elapsed time, giving you a clearer view of market activity — whether it’s buzzing or moving at a snail’s pace. This can be especially useful during volatile periods, when detailed visibility into price action and trading volume helps identify trends and respond more effectively.

Tick charts are available to Expert and Ultimate plan holders, with four intervals: 1T, 10T, 100T, and 1000T. To open a tick chart, enter the desired interval via keyboard or select it from the time interval dropdown menu.

Note: If tick data isn’t available for a specific symbol, the tick intervals will be grayed out in the menu. Tick charts are currently supported only on the web and desktop platforms — stay tuned for mobile support updates!

We keep enhancing tick charts and would love to hear your feedback and ideas to make them even better. Thanks for helping us improve the platform!
