EUR/CAD: Wave 5 Trade SetupEUR/CAD is presenting a compelling long setup as what appears to be a five-wave impulse from the June lows looks ready for its final leg higher. The structure shows a classic wave 4 correction that has found support right where Elliott Wave theory suggests it should—setting up a potential wave 5 that could deliver solid risk-to-reward for patient traders.
What the Current Structure Shows (Primary Scenario)
Clean Five-Wave Impulse in Progress: The move up from the June 2025 lows has unfolded in a textbook impulsive pattern, with waves 1, 2, and 3 clearly defined and wave 4 appearing to have completed its correction.
Wave 4 Finds Support: The correction has retraced to a level that respects the typical boundaries for a fourth wave—not too deep to overlap with wave 1, but enough to provide a healthy pullback before the final push.
Wave 5 Setup: With wave 4 likely complete, the structure points to wave 5 beginning, targeting the equality relationship with wave 1 at 1.6170.
Why the Count Is Labeled This Way
The initial surge from the lows shows strong, impulsive characteristics with clear five-wave subdivisions.
Wave 3 extended beyond the typical 1.618 relationship with wave 1, which is common in strong trends.
The current level, at around 1.5927, represents a logical support zone where wave 4 should find its footing.
Trade Setup: Riding the Final Wave
Entry: Current levels, with wave 4 appearing to have bottomed.
Stop Loss: Below 1.5952—if price breaks this level, the wave count is invalidated and suggests wave 4 may be more complex or the entire structure needs reassessment.
Target: 1.6170, where wave 5 achieves equality with wave 1. This is a classic Elliott Wave projection when wave 3 has been the extended wave in the sequence.
What to Watch Next (Confirmation or Invalidation)
Confirmation: A break of the B wave termination point at 160.50 would be confirmation that wave 5 may have started.
Invalidation: A break below 1.5928 would suggest wave 4 is not complete and may be forming a more complex correction.
After Wave 5: Once the target is reached, expect a significant correction as the entire five-wave sequence from the June lows completes.
Alternate Count
If the current support fails, wave 4 could extend into a more complex correction—possibly a triangle or double zigzag—before wave 5 begins. This would delay but not necessarily invalidate the bullish scenario.

Market next target ⚠️ Disruption Analysis – Gold (1H):
🔹 Pattern Disruption Identified:
The chart previously followed a descending structure with lower highs and lower lows, confirming bearish momentum.
However, a temporary recovery (small bullish correction) appears after a sharp drop, disrupting the previous flow.
---
🔄 Disruption Points:
1. Break in Momentum (Structure Shift):
The recent bullish correction (small upward leg) challenges the consistency of the descending trend.
It signals a potential pause or trap in the current bearish move.
2. Price Rejection Area:
Price attempted to bounce but failed to break above the previous lower high, indicating bearish strength remains intact, but is facing disruption from short-term buyers.
3. Volatility Spike:
The long wick on the recent candle shows a volatility disruption, likely due to economic news or high-impact events (suggested by the ⚡ icon on the chart).
4. Target Zone Disruption:
Though the yellow arrow points toward a bearish target, the slight upward pullback adds uncertainty about whether price will reach that level immediately.
Gold Bulls Back in Control as Trump Pressures Fed for Rate CutsHey Realistic Traders!
President Trump is ramping up pressure on the Fed to cut interest rates , saying the U.S. is falling behind countries with looser policies. As several Fed officials begin to shift their stance, expectations for rate cuts are growing. That’s putting pressure on the dollar and giving gold a fresh boost.
We’ll take a closer look at what this means for OANDA:XAUUSD (Gold) through technical analysis and explore its upside potential.
Technical Analysis
On the 4-hour chart, Gold has moved above the EMA-200, signaling a shift in momentum to the upside. Price has also broken out of a Descending Broadening Wedge (DBW) pattern, which often indicates the start of a bullish trend.
The breakout was confirmed by a Bullish Marubozu candle, reflecting strong buying pressure. To add further confirmation, the MACD has formed a bullish crossover, reinforcing the upward momentum.
Looking ahead, the first target is seen at 3417. If reached, a minor pullback toward the historical resistance zone (green area) may occur, with a potential continuation toward the second target at 3500.
This bullish outlook remains valid as long as the price stays above the stop-loss level at 3271 . A break below this level would invalidate the setup and shift the outlook back to neutral.

Market next move ❗ Disrupted Market Outlook:
⚠️ False Breakout Risk:
The recent "Breakout" above previous highs may be a bull trap. Although price surged, the follow-up candles are showing lower highs, suggesting weakening bullish momentum.
📉 Bearish Divergence (not shown but likely):
Based on the price action, there's a potential bearish divergence with RSI/MACD (if overlaid), as price makes higher highs while momentum likely weakens.
🔄 Resistance Reversal Zone:
The area labeled as "Support area" at the top (near $67.50) is actually acting as resistance again — the market is failing to hold above this level.
🔁 Retest Failure:
After the breakout, price failed to establish strong support and is consolidating below the highs, hinting at a potential breakdown below $66.
---
🔻 Disruption Path:
1. Drop to $66.00 - immediate pullback from failed breakout.
