What are indicator templates

Indicator templates are a way of grouping several indicators together into a single package, which you can later apply to any chart. You can also create your own templates and save them to your own database.


TradingView comes with six built-in indicator templates:

  • Bill Williams' 3 Lines
  • Displaced EMA
  • MA Exp Ribbon
  • Oscillators
  • Swing Trading
  • Volume Based

How to use indicator templates

To use a preset indicator template, simply click on the corresponding button on the toolbar along the top of the chart and click on the template that you want to use.

You can also save your custom indicator templates. To do that, choose the desired indicators so they are displayed on the chart. Then click on the "Indicator Template" button and select "Save indicator template."
